The new trailer from Bethesda was released today.
It looks promising, the character design and the city seem to have a nice steampunk style to them. Also the weapons look very unique.
My only gripe right now, and whats keeping me from pre-ordering this beautiful looking game, is the fact that Brink started off too similar to this. I will probably wait for reviews to see how well the game does.
The game is set to have a 2012 release date. Also on the official site they state that the art director from Half Life 2 is working on Dishonored!

Good heavens, if the game actually manages to look like that I'll buy it regardless of gameplay. Also I wouldn't compare this too much to Brink, this is Bethesda we are talking about... the makers of fallout and elder scrolls games, they are pretty legit.
now ive never been a fan of games with those strange ability things (thinking of bioshock here) but this one looked so potentially smooth that im excited to see what happens with the game! -
Yeah I'm looking forward to trying this game. I'm thinking Bethesda used a modified version of the engine used for Skyrim, from seeing the quality of the game. They are one of my favorite studios, so I'd probably buy this just to see what else they have cooked up. -
graphics in this seem similar to Hellgate:London cinematic. We are quite a way's off to seeing in-game footage like that. Also I watched or read something about how CGI cinematics are pointless and people just wanna see gameplay. I for one like cinematics. They show a small portion of the story and get you thinking of the game. I love a good story -
That trailer looks freaking awesome! I agree with pr0ph, i like cinematics, and even though the gameplay is not going to be exactly like that, it gives us some hope that in the future, we'll see gameplay that is that realistic. -

You said it man. Straight up. I actually thought the exact same thing about Bioshock, with the WEIRD abilities... But if this game looks and feels the same as the trailer, I might have to reconsider.
