Alright, so now that I have the PC, I am looking for a headset and/or mic to use. I have a gaming keyboard and all of that wonderful stuff, just need something to communicate with and any other accessories you think I should have... any suggestions? I sowwy I keep asking these questions, I am a noob just starting out since you know, I was a console gamer before haha. |

I've had this headset for a while now: http://store.razerzone.com/store/razerusa/en_US/pd/productID.169415800/categoryId.35096300 I like it, but I don't have much experience with any other headsets though. |

I have the Astro A30s, which are nice but IMO overpriced for what you get. They're $130 for just the headset, and after about a year of regular use, the boom mic completely broke. They're also pretty uncomfortable for extended use. My boyfriend has the Steelseries 5HV2; I've tried his and ended up ordering that one as a second headset. It's much more comfortable, much less expensive, and seems more reliable/durable. Plus it dismantles for travel :3 Or if you want to go the headphones/desktop mic route, I highly recommend the Blue Snowball. |

Below are some I'd recommend - Plantronics Gamecon 377 headset, Approx. $30.00 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826265065 Razer Orca, Approx. $60.00 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826153060 Steel Series Siberia, Approx. $85.00 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826249043 Logitech G930 Wireless, Approx. $120.00 http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16826104399 Those are the headsets I'd personally recommend in the different budget ranges. I've either owned them, or gifted them and tried them out. I have the Steel Series Siberia headset, and it's the most comfortable headset I have owned. You literally forget your wearing it. I haven't tried the version Jess mentioned, but can only assume it's just as comfortable. They make good headsets. If your wanting something even more epic go with the G930. I own two of these. Not only are they wireless, they are 7.1 surround sound which you can click from stereo to surround sound with the hot key on the headset. Also the hot keys are extremely convenient. I left them assigned to media player which is default. At the price, I think this headset beats out any in it's class. Many at the same price don't even include some of these features - your just buying the name. |
