Hey guys my name is Jordi, I'm the new video prod intern here at MMO so I thought I should make an intro here on the forums. I'm 21 and currently transferring from a CC to UCSD in the fall to study Visual Arts Media: Video Production. I'm an avid gamer (PC>PS3>XBOX have all three though) and love watching movies. I like doing a lot of photography (light painting and long exposure mostly), video camera work and I specialize in special effects and 3d integration in video. I'm self taught on computers since most classes that were offered at my CC were VERY introductory (how to 'open' files.... really? second year of graphic design and still showing how to open files? /)__- ). I use things like After Effects, Hitfilm, Boujou, PF Hoe, 3ds Max and iPi studio, if you guys use those let me know cuz its always cool to have a discussion with people who know about those things. Gaming wise, im more of an FPS guys than mmo's and rpg's. Lately I've been playing alot of Counter strike, but I play LoL, D3, BF3, SC2, MW3 (but not usually), TF2, MC, and theres too many things to list. You guys can add me on steam and im down to play any of the like 90 games I own haha. Not really sure what else to really say here in this intro, but I'm looking forward to making more videos with MMO Attack and helping bring the content you guys want to the channel and these forums. If you guys have any Q's feel free to post!

Welcome JROC to the dark side of the web. Looks like your well versed in a lot of different software. I have After Effects from my bundle, but never used it. I use Maya, Photoshop, Illustrator, etc, for web design though. Looking forward to seeing what is done to spice up the videos.

WELCOME and CONGRATS! Resume sounds impressive, so I can see why they took you onboard! I play bf3 (ps3 and 360), MC (PC), and LoL so let me know if you want to play any of them. Im interested in the fact that you taught yourself all of that stuff, thats awesome. If you could offer a suggestion, I'd like to be able to just kind of fiddle around with some graphics and would have to teach myself as well, what should I consider getting?anyway I havent checked out any of the new videos since I got back, but im excited to see what you can do man! -
Thanks guys, and lucig3n, theres a lot of really cool programs and sites out there for starting out. Personally I use adobe's products like premiere for editing and after effects for special effects. If you have the money for it theyre worth it, but theres a new software called HitFilm which is significantly cheaper (around 300ish) that actually does editing and special effects, but doesnt have all the plugins available that the adobe suite uses. both work great though and can do most of the same stuff. www.videocopilot.net has tons of free tutorials that are focused on after effects (theres some reaaaaaaaaally awesome stuff there) but you can still do most of those tutorials on hitfilm. Theres a ton of other useful info that maybe ill create a thread about because i know alot of sites that can benefit people if theyre trying to get into those types of programs. feel free to msg me about that stuff anytime btw -
