So I'm going to start making gameplay videos for some of the games we play and this GRO one is the first attempt. I do video editing (like for movies and short films) but I've never done gameplay so I'm looking for feedback. I want to eventually start doing music sync gameplay, but what do you guys think? is gameplay compilation good? or should I do commentary gameplay and show all the parts where I die? haha let me know guys!

It might just be me but some of the colors seem a bit off, making the details hard to see. Other than that it is great gameplay, although i think some commentary or explanation of features would work well in there. -
Just so you know with the YouTube encoding the 720p video quality looks better when being down sized from a 1080p video so you should just always upload at 1080p if possible. I know that if you're using Fraps then you need a ton of hard drive space though to store the game footage.

Yea I think the biggest problem with this right now is just capture quality. To really do good capture right you need a pretty mammoth computer though, so I'll forgive you for that. I liked sniper music timed shots, that was a cool effect. Reminded me of this battlefield video: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Q8me-HkWjbw&feature=my_liked_videos&list=LLAD2GKZcboQS2pi4sYbJFeA it has some timed sniping/explosions after the music changes... but this guy also has the best gameplays ive ever seen so maybe its not that helpful. Still a badass video :P -
Lol yeah i know the issue I had was that i needed to record at 720p with 30fps because my hard drive crashed and all i had was a 120gb hard drive i gutted from an xbox drive and after all the installs i needed to do i had like 60gb of free space. The game itself has some issues with optimization. i would go down to 20 fps on low (but i can play BF3 at 60+fps...) so the quality sucks. Im currently working on a full song music sync using BF3 gameplay so ill have that one done in the next week or so and that one should be alot better, but i might have to do it 720p@50fps just because my computer is getting a bit outdated now and fraps files are huge :/ hopefully i can upgrade soon! haha. But thanks for the input. Also, is there any type of video you guys think would be good to have on the site? I know theres alot of gameplay commentary first look type of stuff, but im not sure if many people watch that, what do you guys think? most likely i'll be the one making all the gameplay videos that come from mmoattack directly since i game quite a bit. Or any suggestions for games i should do videos for? -
