Anyone else in the beta for this game or am I solo here? By the way its basically BF3 but post-apocalyptic. Its a solid game so far if only the community were bigger.

Currently beta is for people who kickstarted the project, they only need $5k so they could get the marketing in place for Steam. The pre-order beta starts soon but the pre-order costed a hell of a lot more than what it cost me to kickstart.

Don't think it's healthy to say it's BF3 but post-apocalypse. I checked out some gameplay videos, and it looks like it would be a lot of fun, but not comparable with Battlefield 3. Battlefield 3 is done with high realism in mind, lush environments, and destruction. This game reminds me of like Twisted Metal, Borderlands, and All Points Bulletin mixed together and put in a post-apoc world.

Game looks fun, I'd probably try it out.

The only real reason you gave for why its not like BF3 is the environment. BF3 is not a realistic shooter in any way. Its a big scale run and gun casual modern FPS. If you wanted realistic then you'd go look at a series like Arma. Ravaged is also a large scale run and gun game like BF3 in that both of them have casual run and gun shooting, vehicles, big maps for 64 players. The only real difference between Ravaged and BF3 is the setting. Ravaged is post-apocalyptic, and BF3 is modern. Also I have no clue where you got any of those games from since neither Twisted Metal, Borderlands, or APB have even remotely similar play styles. Ones a destruction car shooter, ones a cartoon inspired spray fest, and the other is a 3rd person shooter MMO, and none of them share any similar mechanics or game types besides shoot stuff to Ravaged. Its definitely closer to BF3 than any other game out on the market.

I'm not going to argue, but my reasons go beyond just a fancy environment. I'm not against the game, I'll try it out as it looks interesting and fun.. but just don't feel it's right saying..." its basically BF3 but post-apocalyptic". There is definitely an obvious gap from a Battlefield title and Ravaged. You could say, the game is somewhat similar to the Battlefield series, for it's open maps and vehicle combat. But saying it's basically Battlefield, this it's not.

Battlefield is realistic in terms of the look and feel, which is what I am referring to. Obviously it's no combat simulator, which is that known as Arma, and yes I'm familiar with the game and played it.
