I've realized that there are a fairly significant number of games that I love that everyone else hated, and I am beginning to wonder why/how this happens and to see if there are any trends.  I also want to see if anyone shares my view, as well as make fun of people who liked really bad games.

    TS3 (Future Perfect)
I went into this game not knowing a thing about it and it was incredible.  On my top 10 favorite games of all time, I loved the story, challenges, leagues, arcade, coop, and multiplayer.  I still think that their "achievement" system is the best I have ever witnessed, and I feel like it is one of the most creative games of all time.  They could have been boring.  They could have gone on the winning strat of TS2 and basically remake Goldeneye but they didn't.  They took a big risk and they payed for it, but why it wasnt more popular I have no idea.  Animation was good, controls were modern and crisp, gameplay was flawless, it had character, humour, and more character skins and trophies than you could wave a stick at.  I had all but 4 of over 150 skins in that game, and I can't think of any FPS that comes anywhere close to the creativity of TSFP.  And seriously, what is more awesome than having 15 bots + 4 humans run around as big green cartoon dinosaurs with fully automatic weapons and 1 hit kill on?  Seriously thats the pinnacle of happiness.

    BF2142
To be fair this was the first fps i played online alot, but still... this game gets so much crap and it was epic.  BF2 was right before this and it was a great game itself, but bf2142 came out and apparently not many people were willing to make the change over.  Well they missed out, Camp Gibralter I consider to be the best mp map of any game ever.  I think i have about 280 hours in that game, and 250 were on CG.  Also 220 hours were with 2 guns, both assault rifles that were ungodly good.  I can understand if you thought the game was unbalanced towards assault on that map, but all i hear about is how it didnt have guided missiles like bf2.  I cant say the game innovated much except it might have been the first 64 person game (apparently this is a big thing now but back then people were all meh) but I don't care.  I didnt play 250 hours on any map in any other game, so there must have been something special about that game.

Blitz: The League 2 - Got trash ratings, not a lot of playable modes. One of my favorite and most overplayed games though. So much fun.

I remember trying out BF2142 before, like two times. Never got into it but thought it was a decent game, didn't know people hated on it.

Thanks for the BF2142 flashback!  I had to look up a video because it was kind of hazy, i knew i had played before.  You are right about Camp Gibralter, that map was one of the best in any game ever made.  I'm surprised that many people hated this game, i always had a great time.

Having a tough time thinking of hated games, but i'll be back!
