Yeah i was able to play it on Wednesday with some developers.  We did an hour long dungeon crawl.  It was really fun.  I played a rogue character with backstabbing and quick getaways, evading and dodging.  I'm hoping to play some more this weekend.

Well it's closed beta not open. I wouldn't consider paying $60 as being "open". Kirk and I both played it during the press day on Wednesday, he got to do dungeons and play with devs... and I got to quest.

I saw some of the videos and it really makes me want to play. I'm one of those classic tabletop dungeons and dragons geeks, and used to play the neverwinter campaigns. So seeing this gameplay is pretty cool. Hope to get a chance to check it out.

There's a couple more beta weekend to get through.  Not sure when they plan on finally releasing the game.  But I guess we'll see how they progress on the next two beta dates.  I'll let you all know.

They invited a few people to play with the Devs last weekend.  They may do the same thing in the upcoming beta weekends as well but i'm not sure.  Like Ryan said though, in order to get into the beta you have to pay money.

If I had the time to play with the devs I would pay. Tons of other free things out there though to tie me over until it's regular release. Definitely playing when it finally does.

I'm almost certain that Neverwinter'll go F2P in the future.  It's also SO exciting how much popularity Neverwinter is gaining!!!  Makes me wish the days of actual D & D... not that I played a whole lot, but it was the geekiest and funnest thing EVER.

What class do people play in DnD? I used to play the D20 version (3.5) a bunch with my friends. I always enjoyed Clerics because they can fight and heal too. We also played a bunch of undead campaigns so it was nice having turn or rebuke undead. I also like Paladins for the same reasons, but Clerics are way more balanced. Anyone else have a favorite class?
