Black Desert and Pathfinder Online are the 2 I'm looking forward to the most, however both are not on that list at SandboxMMO.  I would say ArcheAge but from what I hear, the combat and quest system are both generic/something we've already seen many times.

I might check out Earthrise, love apocalyptic settings.

Eve is my sandbox MMO of choice.  I've been playing for quite some time, and the new changes are going to make it even better.

It can also be Free 2 Play if you can make enough money in the game to sell for your subscription.

To do this requires a lot of time spent on it though.

There's not many "Good" Sandbox games because most Developers are going with the safe cookie cutters instead of doing something bold and risk loosing money. Hopefully companies are now realizing that us gamers have had enough of the WoW style game play and try to do something a little different. That's not a stab at WoW btw, it's a good game and was good for it's time (even though I never enjoyed it) but the days of the same old classes and style that most games have been doing will hopefully be gone soon. I'm waiting for a Developer to step up and say "Were going to do something different".

For a Sandbox game to succeed (in my opinion) it has to have the following:

    Good Direction
    Player's can shape the land
Dynamic Events to keep players on there toes
Allow players to REALLY become JUST a trader or blacksmith
Action/twitch Combat so that even a low level has a chance if there really good
    Player Quests
Player Towns and houses with Keys. Keys could be stolen if a player has one on him and dies which could lead into the PKer to get into someones town/house

I was going in this direction with my MMO when it was in Development but I'm not an artist and so therefor I couldn't get the sprites done. I wouldn't mind starting this project back up again though. :) Got a Server PC we could use.

EVE is ridiculous. It keeps innovating and expanding, even into other video games (lulz DUST 514)
I can't wait to see Pathfinder footage though. Bring on that awesomely creative DnD madness!
