So I'm new to these forums, but why do you post news on forums to start a topic? If you are playing the game or have a question about it id understand. This website has that news story on its front page though. Copying and pasting a wikipedia entry into the forums and posting a response to your own topic before anyone else can is just pointless. I honestly hope this website doesn't give you a t-shirt yet. You are clearly trying too hard if all your posts start as copy and pasting. Talk about what you actually care about dude. I see that you are playing League of Legends. See, that make sense that you started that post.
So, are you actually playing this game? Or going to watch the show? I'm not getting the game but I am a big scifi fan and plan to watch the first ep.

They were late...i posted that news first and when i posted this Defiance were in early development stage so there wasnt so many infos about the game.Dont blame me.And since u are new here make an intro thread so we can see that u actually care for this site and community.U have only 6 post and u telling me how to behave here.And about the game:I dint play this yet becouse i am occupied with other things but i will try this.I dont watch television but if i like game i will try to watch show. -

I said I'm new here for a reason. I don't know you. I wasnt trying to offend you but in my first 2 days of being on the website I already saw a trend with some of your posts. I was honestly just confused at why you posted this thread. It didn't seem like you cared about that game, or as you said were to occupied. I still stand by my comment. If you never have time to play this game and dont watch tv, why are you talking about it other than to get those karma thingys? If I'm missing something tell me. I mean thank you for bringing people the news of the gaming world, but when you dont talk about your own post because you cant contribute to it, it seems kind of silly. Maybe you will though, as you mentioned.
I see that you did post the thread a while ago though. So I do apologize for saying it was in the news section of the website.
I plan on doing my intro after I read through everyone elses. I like this site so far and plan to come back.

You do make a valid point. Despite the other ones being made lol.
Man so far this game isn't doing great. The game handles well, but so do tons of FPS and TPS games nowadays. What I HATE about this game are the waste of time quests. Some of the stuff you do isn't actually gameplay, you just sit through cut scenes and it counts it as a quest. The actually action aspects of the game seem fine so far, but I don't see this game staying relevant longer than the first few episodes of the show. I think the idea was brilliant, because there will be people dedicated to affecting a tv show storyline until it ends, but the game itself seems like its going to suck on its own.
One thing I noticed is that people are saying "the show allows the story to make more sense." Pretty dumb comment in my opinion. Arguing away a confusing game storyline, because the full story is being saved for the television show portion too, means the game isn't a full game (at least yet). Again, the game is fine. It's been fun so it's not a total failure, but there doesn't seem to be anything new peaking my interest. Furthermore, some things you come to look for in MMORPGs like crafting and such, don't really exist. (as far as I know, I could be wrong) There is a system in place, it just looks like a "duct tape" crafting system where you just shove two compatible things together for a bonus, rather than one where you actually create things that others can't obtain easily.
The game obviously needs more time to settle in, and the tv show component might very well drag me into it further (the episode related missions tend to get you a good amount of new weapons). Who knows, maybe the show will be enough to make people play the game long enough to just like it for what it is. I recommend trying the game with a friend, just don't buy it right away.

I just got the game over the weekend for the 360. There's definitely not enough people in it playing as of now. I'm usually just in areas by myself which kinda defeats the purpose of getting an MMO... so hopefully that picks up. But the game is actually decently fun. I'm only a couple hours in so it's too early to see any repetition.Crossing my fingers for the best! -
I feel like I wasted my money. I don't even care about the tv show I feel really bored with this game already. I never played a console MMO though, not that there are many others.

I don't know what everyone is complaining about. Im having fun in the game. The shooting feels pretty good, you can spawn a vehicle at any time (which is awesome) and the random big group events make you feel like you're part of something big -
I'm definitely watching the premiere of the show tomorrow! I'll report back an tell everyone how it is!

I totally agree! Despite all the haterz, I'm actually having a really good time in the game. I haven't really "teamed up" with anyone yet but there's almost always at least one other person around doing the same mission I'm doing. Plus like you said, the Arkfall events are awesome. If you're ever looking for other people playing, head to one of these because people flock to them! If you liked Borderlands, this game easily gets my recommendation.Just some advice for anyone starting out... make an effort to get better guns as soon as you can because my starting weapons sucked hardcore.
