http://www.ign.com/articles/2013/02/22/ign-layoffs-and-saying-goodbye-to-1up-and-gamespy Now mmoattack have more chance to get famous |
I fell sorry for Gamespy.com |
really sucks for the people who lost their jobs, but i never used any of those sites... |
Never visit the other sites, however been with Gamespy since 2000. It's to bad to see them go, definitely a pioneer in gaming news. Media is definitely evolving extremely quickly. One point, magazines used to dominate and be the main source of gaming news, then online; and now social media and videos, etc are the new craze. Be interesting to see what is next. |
Next the information is just sent out via mind-control devices and you 'subscribe' to which information you want to hear and it just comes to your head and you feel as though it's your own unique thought and then you just know everything about everything you want. |
That is unfortunate, a couple of years ago I was an avid 1UP.com from like 2006 to 2011, haven't really used much other sites for along while, until now. MMOAttack ftw and maybe they will recruit some of them ~_^. Just a thought (though I would LOVE to work for MMOAttack >.>) Edit: changed some wording. |
Gaming sites and companies tend to always be looking for writers. Your best bet is to find a way to email them directly and ask or offer a resume. Doing so on the forums tend not to do much .... just sayin. ;D |
Unless of course your knowledge of gaming is so great they have no choice but to hire you ! |
i'd hire me anyday of the week. |
