Post your ideas for mmos |
Maybe skateboarding mmo |
They keep failing with dinosaur MMOs so they need to make a good one still. Some are fun but there are no truly satisfied dino-nerds out there in the gaming industry. They should make some Jurassic Park type game, if that's even possible. |

I like Kirks idea of RDR mmo...how is possible that nobody from devs didnt rememberr of that |
MegaMan would be epic as hell. Pokemon, without any doubts there NEEDS to be a Pokemon MMO, my wife would be Pro at it. My own idea would have to be: Post-apocalyptic Zombie MMO. |
There are some kind of post-apocalyptic zombie mmos...Check out DayZ mod for arma 2 and standalone dayz is comming out very soon. Also there is a WARZ but its a B2P. For post-apocalyptic mmos try Fallen Earth. And if u like stalker franchise look at Survarium open beta starts this summer. Check this also http://www.zombieplace.com/zombie-mmo |
Don't play WarZ lol. DayZ standalone is the way to go though. They do need to make a fully functional MMO world with zombies though. Pokemon is the obvious give in. That's why MMO attack is awesome because you guys are talking about how angry you are about it too! haha |

Paper Boy the MMO A young school boy needs to save up enough money to buy a new computer so he can play the latest games that all his friends are playing. He knows his parents can't afford it, and wants to earn the money on his own. He thinks about the choices: Should I mow lawns for all the neighbors? No, I can't do that, Juan has the whole block on lock-down, super low rates. Maybe I could take out the garbage for all the old folks in the area? Not enough old folks, would take years. OH, I GOT IT! I'll start a paper route! YES, that's it! I'll talk to old mail-man McGurk who delivers the local newspaper. He for sure would need the help, as he's been doing it for 20 years and you can tell by the look on his brow that he's getting tired of the same old routine. Yes, i'll talk to Mr. McGurk, he'll surely tell me all I need to know about the paper delivery business to be continued ... |
Kirk I feel like you got far to into that Idea, but I would play it! I think as iv'e said before they need a extreme sport MMO, focused around just that, Extreme sports. Using games like motor storm, Sk8e and such games all into one awesome open concept world. |
MMO Tony Hawk. Rinks all around an entire MMO world. Sandbox that shiz and people can create some pretty insnae rinks. PvP? lmao |
There are multiplayer mods for some of the Tony Hawk games.Try google it |
Sounds like a true story |
how do you know what she looks like? |

Any kind of new action oriented sand box MMO would be great to me. I'm currently writing another article about the standard race and classes in MMO's. I feel a lot of things could be improved, changed and added which I'll point out in it. |
Sandbox MMOs are getting really cool, so I agree with this. I feel like developers are doing a good job making sandbox capabilities secondary to actual gameplay around it. Overall I think this is the best approach even though what makes sandbox games fun is the actual customization process. I love creating things, but newer Sandboxes definitely aren't as slow as older ones. Yay. |

Well I've had this idea of a Parkour MMO. There would be different ways to tackle it. The first would be that when you're not doing missions, the city would be open world. Everyone starts with a basic skillset but as they gain experience from doing events (will elaborate later) they get to gain exp and reputation. Exp will be gained a bit similar to how it's gained in oblivion and skyrim. Each individual task contributes a measure of exp (as to stop it from being a grindfest). That and the more you do certain moves (vaults, ect) the more exp you gain in that criteria. It helps to shape your character growth as you start developing your character's specialty. The more exp you gain in a certain skill tree, the more skills you unlock in it and the more advanced skills net better rewards, thus taking into character the flashier aspect of free-running (aka, be as fancy as you can be whilst being practical). Reputation would be gained by completing events. The more reputation you have, the more access you have to better gear n' stuff. Sure you can buy some equipment after a certain amount of in game cash is earned, but reputation items tend to be flashier and some of them might even come with certain stat boosts. After a certain number of rep, you can start your own crew, which is basically like a guild. Every point of reputation earned gives a percentage of crew rep gained. Each crew starts with a hideout. Normally, it would start as some run down rented studio, but after unlocking shop options with crew rep, the option to upgrade it with better stuff and eventually move out to flashier venues opens up. As per gameplay itself, it could come in many varieties. The first would be race. As it's name implies, all the competitors start on the same place, the first to reach the target area wins. The most basic race type would just be who gets to go to the finish line first. Another game type that is available is exhibition. Here, competitors are given a set amount of time to pull off as many tricks as possible.Doing the same trick consecutively diminishes how many points is gained as to enforce a mixup of moves. The more moves you chain together, the higher your score is. Failure to land a move (falling off, ect) cancels out a combo chain, thus introducing a risk factor. The third game type would be a mix of the two, exhibition race. Here, players are not only encouraged to race each other to first place, but also do it in the flashiest way possible. Here it is possible to be second to reach the finish line, but still win in terms of point count. This game mode has the highest possible reward yield but also takes the most amount of skill and quick thinking. Gameplay would be done in third person, although a first person option would also be available. Skills will be placed in a skill bar but will be context sensitive. For example, a player approaching a possible vault position could press hotkeys 1 to 5 (assuming he has skills slotted there) to decide what kind of vault he could do. When he approaches a ledge, if he presses any of the hotkeys, different skills would be available depending on what location he triggers them in. There would also be a setting where the player could just preset the skills he wants to use beforehand and just trigger activation with the spacebar. When not conducting missions, players could practice their ingame skills by exploring the city and performing moves. As a bonus incentive for exploration, there will be NPCs with challenges that yield rewards.Challenges could range from a race against the clock to fetch quests. There will also be hidden loot spots dotted around the map. Also hidden in the game are "sweet spots". These are scenic locations in the game that players could reach and take screenshots using the ingame camera button to rake in some bonus rep. Sweet spots could range from reaching the top of certain monuments to posing on top of some big company's sign. (Will continue this idea later after some coffee. Tell me guys whucha think okay? XD) |

I like parkour and breakdancing and graffiti and bboy stuffs and i would like to see parkour mmo. There are some kind of parkour mmo called FreeJack http://freejack.gamerkraft.com/. Also, there is a parkour SAMP server http://gta-parkour.ru/ Imo,the main problem with parkour game is small playerbase. Maybe if you add some kind of skateboarding and bmx driving that could be interesting. Your idea is nice but its hard to realize. This game need many developers to work on it. Are you a game developer or something like that? |
Hmm, true, it may seem a bit ambitions and could use a big team, butI guess if we didn't dream big enough, we wouldn't have put a man on the moon I guess? Still it's more of a concept Idea that's been free-running through my mind (hehehe). I wanted to emulate the thrill of parkour and the fun of freerunning with friends and showing off who can pull off the coolest moves whilst in relative safety. As for involving skateboarding and bmx, I actually like that idea. It could add some much needed diversity to it. and no, I'm just a humble gamer with no coding know-how. If anything, I just have ideas and I guess one of these days once I'm done with studies, I'll go assemble a team who can make my ideas a reality. |
Actually i am working on skateboarding mmo in Unity engine. Its very ambitious and i even plan to add parkour, driving bmx, breakdancing and writting graffitti later on. But since i work alone on this project its gonna take ages before first tests. You have very interesting drawings and you can help me to design buildings, characters obstacles etc if u are interested? |
Hmmm, Characters, I can try. Buildings may be a challenge, but I can always hang around the architecture peeps to pick up a thing or two. Might have to see how much time I can put into it when school starts again in two weeks XD hahaha |
Buildings are the main problem. City needs to be attractive to skaters with many object where they can do tricks. I didnt touch design of city yet but i plan to go with typical North American city. |
I always found background design and architecture a tricky part in designing MMOs to be honest. Hence why I love it when I see a good game that really pulls it off well. |
I am really impressed by The Secret World and APB city architecture. Those 2 game have best designed cities in mmos |
Hmm, I have definitely gotta check those out sometime. From the MMOs I've played so far, one of my favorites in terms of scenery has got to be DCU online. Idk, Somehow, it really feels like gotham when I'm gliding through buildings. XD |
Maybe u should try Champions Online |
Oh cool, thanks for the heads up bro. Gonna go download it. My hardware right know probably wouldn't run it well, but hopefully I'd be getting a better laptop soon so I'm just gonna go download now to save time. |
