Alright, I know a few of you around here play this. PC/PS3/Xbox? -
Yup, I play this on PC. Been a huge fan of the series since the days of BF:1942. -
Xbox ftw. I was addicted to BF3 for like the first month that it came out, but I haven't played much since. -
Xbox for moi. Patch comes out on the 3rd. SOOOO pumped. -
Good reason to be pumped. The patch is awesome. Game seems more polished than ever. +1 to DICE and EA. -
I am not happy with the update at all. The guns feel like I'm a 12 year old boy holding a gun for the first time..RECOIL MADNESS. I'm so glad Ghost Recon Future Soldier is coming in May. The patch is a huge disappointment for me -
PC. Battlefield on console is utter blasphemy. -

I would agree with you but times have changed and there are a lot of gamers in MLG who only play consoles. A lot of games like CS are dieing from consoles on the MLG circuit. Its all Dota, LoL, and Starcraft now a days. I maybe see the odd CSS MLG match but not a lot

Anyway, I like BF3 much more on PC, but it's so unstable... -
I like BF3 on console. It's easier to play with some of my friends on there, especially the ones who just have laptops and can't really play the PC version. -
I find this patch very odd. But I am getting mad heals tho -
this patch has been very bizarre. Tip: if you can control it, an F2000 with heavy barrel on is basically unstoppable. Since the patch I've been absolutely lazering people with that thing. -
I wouldn't mind playing it on PC, but I have it on Xbox and PS3. I own a server on the Xbox side, which is also used as the official TeamPwnage BF3 server, but it's always great to have people to play with on there. If anyone wants to play BF3 on Xbox I would be more than happy to join. Just add me on Xbox -
So who is purchasing Premium for Battlefield 3? What's your thought on it? I know I was one of the very first few who purchased it right when it became available on Origin. It's a perfect deal for those Battlefield fans who also really enjoy BF3 and would be buying all and any expansions that came out for it. If you don't like what you hear about some of the expansions, then buying individually is probably the best route of course.

I think I might do it, simply because I have people constantly getting on my Xbox server that I sort of need to monitor =/But I have a question that you might know the answer to; If I get premium, does it count for all my BF3 games, or just on that console? I would imagine just that single console, but I'm just wondering. -
Im pretty certain it is onyl for the one console. Sucks for us :( I think im getting it on ps3 because im splitting it with someone else and they really want it. On xbox thought I think im just going to wait it out and pick and choose which I want. Almost certainly dont want the big map/vehicle one yanno? -

Must be purchased individually. Would have been nice to be able to attach your Xbox or PSN account to the Battlelog, and share any purchases. However they would loose money so obviously that idea got shot down faster than it got brought up.
I'm looking forward to the Vehicle expansion the most. Not sure if any of you played the Desert Combat mod for 1942, but that mod pushed the limits when it came to vehicles. The best idea was the C-130 troop transport. It was a mobile spawn where you could use the turrets inside while someone was flying it, plus parachute out. I'm pretty sure this is going to make it into the expansion and if so, it's going to be badass all over.

The issue I can see with the transport plane would be (and i'd be guilty of it)..... kamikazes. lol unless it just circles overhead without a pilot. It would be interesting to see a gametype like that of bf2142 with the titan ships but idk how it could be made more relevant to bf3 unless it was like carrier vs carrier -
Well I'd be guilty if I said I never did a kamikaze in the plane lol. No doubt it happens and you'll get the urge when your goofing off. It's really no different from people packing into the huey and either a bad pilot crashes the heli, or someone does it on purpose. You always had the option to spawn at the base, or in the plane. Most of the time people play the game as it's intended, so it's a vital addition.

oh my god, another DC player :) I thought I was the only DCFinal player out there, man that mod was... the best ever. It ruined my ability to fly though because i would always try to fly helos DC style, although im back to my old tricks in bf3 finally. Also the reference to bf2142 makes me happy, I still maintain that was an absolutely awesome game even if very few people played it. I would love to see a less glitchy version of titan make its way to bf3 somehow... maybe like oil platforms or something -
Yeah I've played every game in the series, and I think I spent the most time on the 1942 mods, Desert Combat and Eve of Destruction. Played the hell out of those two. BF2142 was awesome, I had a lot of fun. It put a unique twist on the game, and made the game feel fresh. I also thought some of the unlocks like the turret for support were excellent ideas. Though it's been so long I can barely remember the unlocks.
One feature I wouldn't mind seeing reappearing in BF3, is the grapple hook from the Special Forces expansion. It's annoying having to parachute on buildings. Although it would probably increase the amount of camping, it would also allow people to get to places where campers are in many cases.
