Anyone have experience using LED and EL wire hooked up to a costume? Im working on a deadmau5 head for halloween and I'm planning on using LEDs and EL, just want to ask if theres anything I should know or if anyone has a place they recommend for ordering it. I know how to use arduinos and have 2 of the arduino Unos so im planning on making it music synced -
this is something i've wanted to do for a long time, but I was going to use an FPGA because 1 i have one 2 it has more DI/Os than an arduino. now im not sure what EL wire is, but setting up LEDs with any kind of chip is generally quite simple, your typical resistor LED pair per channel. Im assuming you've got some electrical knowledge since you know what an arduino is :P If you need to order stuff, I've used @Digikey alot with great success. Great easy to browse catalog, you can get nearly anything from them, and I've not once had an issue with them in 3 years.good luck, and let me know if you need any help, i love this kinda stuff :) (I am a EE just out of college) -
