    Ok, I finally have got the money to complete my computer setup. Mostly just need software. Do you guys know any good video editing programs and music editing programs? If so comment and say how much it costs or not thanks! :)

    Jordi knows a lot about video editing software.  If I recall correctly they are mostly good for audio as well.  If you're looking for a free option you can try out Audacity.

    Audacity is a pretty good choice for music editing. As for video editing, most go with Premiere or FinalCut.

    FinalCut is exclusively for Macs. I assume you're using a Windows system which basically leaves you with Adobe Premiere and Sony Vegas for video. Audacity is actually a decent audio editing program if you aren't looking to do anything too fancy. It's good for cleaning up audio, some of the effects don't give the same level of fidelity as other tools like Sound Forge.

    Audacity is the bomb and it is free. I use Vegas Pro 10 (however that is a lot of money.) If you want an easy music making program I suggest FL Studio. And If you need a good screen capture program there is FRAPS, which a lot of folks use, and there is Camtasia Studio as well( not as good as fraps, but there are tons of ways to get it for free on youtube.)

    Yeah I was thinking of getting Vegas. However, plans for going to pax next year got in the way money wise. What is your youtube channel so I can see your videos?

    yeah video software I use: Premiere for editing combined with after effects for video effects, theres also another program I've used called HitFilm. that one combines the best parts of premiere and aftereffects, and its like $350 compared to the couple of k's for adobe and theres a TON of tutorial online on how to do stuff on hitfilm. i personally hate final cut and motion on mac because I got used to using keyframes for everything the way adobe does it but final cut can get videos made and in good quality. And i cant say much about vegas because i've never used it. those are my 2 cents on video editing software :P

    devon, i would suggest using audacity like other people said, and then jus tuse fraps for recording and then you can use garageband to make cool loops of songs and stuff!   jmtcm
