It does look better, although I would like to see the recent forum posts on the homepage reappear. I don't care for this forum software at all, instead I just click threads/posts from the homepage that are being discussed. Saves time, and I don't have to deal with navigating around the forum.

I believe the forum was built in house and isn't really complete. I do agree with bloodbath that I hate navigating through it because the sections seem poorly organized, as in there are a lot of them that sit completely inactive and could likely be integrated into other sections, but that it does lack some features such as the most recent posts. I used to use the main page in order to navigate the forums as well just because it was a lot faster. Maybe it could implemented on the forums instead of on the main page.

Kyle will work on adding that back to the homepage.

In regards to the forums.  When i'm looking for posts people are commenting on I click the recent posts on the top right of the page.  Not sure if you guys have tried that button before, but it works well.

I do agree that the forums were kind of neglected, we haven't put a ton of thought in to them.  I plan on taking some time soon and thinking of a better way to organize it.

Didn't really notice the recent post tab on top, thanks Kirk. I don't actually browse the forum, only click the recent posts on the home page and then comment lol. Just don't care for it at all. Not easy on the eyes. Might consider vbulletin, SMF, or phpbb. I've combined vbulletin with Wordpress in the past. Takes some time, but it is possible. Might be a few plugins or mods out now to make it more simplified.

these are actually the first forums since Gaia that I've actually been active in :O I don't think its because it's my job, it might be that the community is small enough that it's easy to keep track of, but I like how the forums are, it's very simple. I think it's a bit of a necessity for good forums to have signatures though so that people could express themselves through it. It could also be used to advertise certain games or features through the contributors; for example, I could have a signature with a flashy picture for the new WoW expansion, and have it link to the Circlekirk on it or review page. Even within a site forum, customization is important! :P

The site is actually no longer on Wordpress. I felt like it was limiting us too much, so I spent the last few months making a custom CMS for us to use.

Three questions: 1. Why doesn't my picture in the MMO Attack site change even though I changed it in my account here on the forums? 2. Why can't I access account information and stuff from the MMO Attack site? I need to come to the forums to make any changes. 3. When I try to log in through the forums, why is there a difference between "logging in" and "logging in with MMO Attack"?

Anything you change on the forums is only changing on the forums.

To change your avatar, go to http://gravatar.com They associate avatars with your email address and it can be used on any site.

Logging in with MMO Attack is the only way to actually login. The other login is there because it's basically embedded in with the forums and I can't remove it.
