Got this message yesterday and redeemed my code. Didn't understand what it was for at first but after doing research looks pretty cool. Big aspect of multiplayer Halo that I didn't know was there. I assumed there was only two specializations and didn't understand their purpose. Looks pretty awesome but kind of worried the game might become unbalanced if specializations make your armor have different mods.

Supposedly legendary editions already had all 8 specializations. I only got a basic copy so gunna check if there are more now that my code is in. Anyone else get a code? Or have the full 8 specializations from getting the Legendary Edition. What does everyone think about this aspect of the leveling in the game?

    Full rundown of specializations here.

yea I got the code too, I was wondering if anyone else got it, good post.  I'm not a huge fan of the idea, but they don't seem like they are OP or anything so whatever, I'll deal with it lol

I remember when I first got this and didn't think of it, now that I have all these armors, Its rally cool how my Halo 4 experience has gotten better. Plus I made my brother jealous for having it while he doesn't lol

Does the specializations change anything about the gameplay besides aesthetics? I would assume they wouldn't do that, but than I'm not sure why the new specialization armors are separated/gifted and not just customizable pieces like other ones you unlock.

Michael that page you linked shows the specializations do extra things.

For example: The Stealth armor mod allows users to move quickly and silently in combat, executing enemy assassinations with lightning fast dexterity.

The Drop Recon armor mod allows users to predict the location and time of an ordnance drop through an external suborbital monitoring system.

As far as I know, you're given access to specializations when you reach level 50. You unlock new ones as you progress further than that. They sound cool, but I've got a while before I hit 50... sadfaces
