WELCOME TO ANIME LOVERS I've been chilling out with anime for very long time, almost my childhood and its still ongoing cause its so entertaining. Over the years I've watched countless anime series that can't all be named, however for those at MMOAttack who are interested and never got a chance to watch any or you are a anime enthusiast i recommend watching the ones I'm currently still ongoing, i guarantee that if you try out one that interests you, you will entertained and waiting for new episodes weekley:
Pros - Action packed, next expecting something to happen next, cliff-hanging series Cons - Takes about 250 episodes to begin getting intense and nerve racking, takes a long time since it has over 500 episodes are ongoing Synopsis Years ago, the fearsome pirate king Gold Roger disappeared, leaving a huge pile of treasure and the famous “One Piece” behind. Whoever claims the “One Piece” will be named the new pirate king. Luffy D. Monkey, a boy who consumed the “Devil's Fruit”, has it in his head that he'll follow in the footsteps of his idol, the pirate Shanks, and find the One Piece. It helps, of course, that his body has the properties of rubber and he's surrounded by a bevy of skilled fighters and thieves to help him along the way.
2. Fairytail (Adventure & Action) Pros - One of those mysterious anime that doesn't seem like what it suppose to be, storyline follows well, has comic relief and romance abit between characters Cons - First 20 episodes isn't really about anything but after that it picks itself up well Synopsis Lucy is a 17-year-old girl, who wants to be a full-fledged mage. One day when visiting Harujion Town, she meets Natsu, a young man who gets sick easily by any type of transportation. But Natsu isn't just any ordinary kid, he's a member of one of the world's most infamous mage guilds: Fairy Tail. 3. Ambition Of Oda Nobuna (Romantic Comedy & Adventure) Pro - Enjoyable to Romantic and character focused lovers, flows well and no confusing points Cons - Seems like battles are too short, that is because I guess its a romance based anime, starts appearing to be interesting on episode 10 (takes awhile) Synopsis The historical romantic comedy follows 17-year-old high schooler Sagara Yoshiharu who one day time-travels to the Sengoku period, where all the major Samurai lords are cute girls. Yoshiharu meets Oda Nobuna, the girl counterpart of Oda Nobunaga, and begins to serve her as a substitute of Kinoshita Tokichiro, who has been dead in the world. 4. Sket Dance (Highschool Comedy & Other Aspects) Pros - Makes you want to watch more and more, most enjoyable anime i've watched in a long time, covers every genre in some point Cons - at first character development lacks abit but it clears up quickly Synopsis At Kaimei High School, the Living Assistance Club (aka the Sket Brigade) was organized to help students with problems big or small. Most of the time, though, they hang out in their club room, bored, with only a few trivial problems floating in every once in a while. In spite of this, they still throw all their energy into solving these worries.
5. Gintama (Comedy & All Rounder) Pros - Makes fun of other shows/anime, almost every episode will make you smile or laugh at something Cons - The animation seems abit outdated or quality wasn't supposedly made ultra well (not sure if it was director intent) Synopsis Life isn’t easy in feudal Japan… especially since the aliens landed and conquered everything! Oh sure, the new health care is great, but the public ban on the use of swords has left a lot of defeated samurai with a difficult decision to make concerning their future career paths! This is especially true if, as in the case of Gintoki Sakata, they’re not particularly inclined towards holding a day job, which is why Gintoki’s opted for the freelance route, taking any job that’s offered to him as long as the financial remuneration sounds right. Unfortunately, in a brave new world filled with stray bug-eyed montsters, upwardly mobile Yakuza and overly ambitious E.T. entrepreneurs, those jobs usually don’t pay as well as they should for the pain, suffering and indignities endured!

I stayed away from anime for most of my life but definitely have a couple I love now. I'm currently watching Detective Conan and Eyeshield 21. Detective Conan is amazing and perfectly written. I am a big sports fan so seeing an anime about American football done so well is tons of fun. I hear Prince of Tennis is amazing though. Watched Inuyasha forever, about to go through Cowboy Bebop soon. |
Anime about football? Sounds interesting. I've never really gotten in to any Anime .. well, i say never really, but what I really mean is I've NEVER watched any anime. If I had to pick one anime to watch, to get me interested, which would it be? |
Kirk you missing out you complete dud... im joking your a great person. i would say since your into stupid and funny content watch sket dance, the name has nothing to do with dancing for anything which is stupid. you will bound to enjoy it after maybe ten or so episodes....
Yea Michael... prince of tennis is great one of top rated on crunchyroll apparently. |
Oh should also try FLCL... crazy ass show. Or you could watch dinky anime abridged series like Yu-Gi-Oh: Abridged by littlekuriboh and the DBZ abridged by TeamFourStar. Those guys all make great spoofs and the yu-gi-oh one rips on the show so hard while totally explaining the plot to people who never want to watch the real thing. |
One of the best things that I ever did was getting into anime. I've gained absolutely priceless experiences through them, and considerably expanded my art and music collection. |
It took me way too long to get into it. I think I'm just lazy and don't like reading subtitles with so many other cinematic options out there. That being said, every original anime is better than its english (dubbed) version, with the exception of Goku's annoying ass original voice in DBZ. |
Anyone been watching any Anime? I finally got into Full Metal Alchemist recently after hearing from tons of people how good it is. Figured someone else would agree! |
Dude, guys, dude, guys, I'm SO OBSESSED with anime/manga right now O_O; I can't stop watching Detective Conan and Inuyasha and I just acquired the first few hundred episodes of Onepiece so I'm gonna be all up in that mess. <3 BAH! And I just started Full Metal Alchemist (can't believe it took me this long to start it!) and it's AMAZING. ZOMG Soul Eater is also one of the best anime's. HEHEHOHO! |
was that english? |
LMAO Barely. |
Oh ya. I'm an anime watcher. Been watching some of the newer series right now, but my all time favourites are Monster and Puella Magi Madoka Magica. |
lol I sometimes watch too much anime on my spare time. Ya I'm pretty much caught up in the Soul Eater manga. They really ramped up the ante by the time they switched costumes. It feels somewhat like how One Piece had the "2 years later" kind of thing. |
POKEMON! Okay . . . as a cartoon it's lacking compared to the anime mentioned here. But I still love the storyline of being a pokemon trainer. The Dragonball series is the best, especially now that they have cut out the wasted time spent on all the pointless screaming. I really loved watching the GT series, although I'm usually alone on that one. |
OOh I can't wait to catch up on Soul Eaterrrrr~ And wow dude I haven't thought about Pokemon as an anime in the longest time... but I remember being in Japan and watching the Butterfree episode and crying!! SO NOSTALGIC! I wouldn't have remembered that had it not been for this thread Hahaha |
Me and my friends always fight about this but would anyone consider Avatar an anime? I know its not Japanese made but almost everything about it is like an anime. |
I can't tell if this means you actually like yu-gi-oh or if you're a hater. lol either way, they've got the original series on Hulu and I've been going back to watch them all (because it's amazing!!) I totally forgot how awesome the actual card game was too. I used to have it for my Gameboy and it was crazy complex and smart. |
I dislike YGO the card game because of its mechanics and how silly the game has become because of Konami, but I have no real issues with the anime itself. I like the abridged series though. Littlekuriboh really does have some genuinely interesting writing for the series. |
I think yu-gi-oh is a great series. Although, and this is what littlekuriboh makes fun of which is why he's hilarious, 4kids makes the show so bleh at times haha. And the overall plot line of yugioh is just a bit more silly than some other already ridiculous anime out there. I used to play the card game way back during the first 3 sets. So much fun! Been DYING to play an old school real life yugioh battle again... some classic shitty ass blue eyes and dark magician battles... using sacrifice cards before people realized that it wasn't worth it anymore. Summoned skull was the best card in the started sets lol. I played the card game on playstation, it was a really cool and difficult game too. The twist of being able to fuse cards in your hand into other cards/monsters was sooooo much fun. Overall... I miss yugioh. I spent tons of my young/mid teen years in a local game store playing TCGs. Tons of stories related to yugioh alone.
I eventually went back and looked at kids playing it and said... yup still getting crazier and worse. |
I say yeah. It's as anime as an American cartoon can get... If nothing else, Avatar (and other shows like Pokemon or Yugioh) is a really good place to start if you're looking to get into anime fresh. Helps to acclimate you to the style and what not. |
OMG my favorite. You gotta watch SAO! Sword Art Online. Click this link for all the episodes. I loved this series and watched twice just because it was so awesome! |
