    Anyone get anything good during the holiday? Any interesting/cool gaming gifts?

    Any new games you received that you couldn't wait to start playing? How are they?

    Received Farcry 3 and Hitman Absolution. I picked up the Arma 2 bundle
    just for the Day Z mod. Also every year I use it as an excuse to upgrade
    my gaming rig to ensure it keeps up. However whenever I'm on Newegg I
    have an addiction to the add cart button. Needless to say, picked up the
    4.0Ghz 8 Core FX, 32GB RAM, which with the CPU meant I picked up a new
    mobo, and to finish a 7950. It's overkill, but I do a lot of work in
    Maya so it's a much needed upgrade, and I plan on doing streaming in the
    near future.

    Christmas gifts? None. Boxing Day steals though...

    So first thing I should explain Boxing Day, in the Commonwealth Boxing Day is the biggest sales day of the year, and because it's also the day after Christmas it is also the biggest returns day of the year; it's Black Friday on crack. I managed to go to Future Shop and pickup a Canon Rebel T3i with a couple of lenses for more than 50% off.

    IIn terms of Gaming Gifts I got Far Cry 3.  But my only other significant gift was the GoPro Hero 3.  I had a blast with it while snowboarding this past weekend.  NOw I gotta think of some other cool ways to use it.

    I somewhat miss Boxing Day, being formerly a person who was in Canada.

    Well I just get myself stuff, so dress shoes, and a bunch of games. :D

    I got a few DS games for my 3DS: Pokemon Soulsilver, Spyro, Super Mario Bros and Warioware. I am going to pick up Darksiders 2 for Xbox 360, StarFox64 for my 3DS and something else too but I can't decide on what for my Xbox... any suggestions?

    If you don't own it yet get Witcher 2. It's probably the best RPG released this generation, and has some of the best, if not the best, writing in video games ever.

    Note that it picks up where the first one left off, but the first is PC only. If I'm not mistaken there are some optional cut scenes to watch which fill in the story really well; if they aren't there watch a YouTube video or something because the game has a lot of lore. I've beaten the 1st one, but I've only ever really had the time to get about 3/4 of the 2nd one done since it's quite lengthy if you do the side quests.

    i finally got halo 4 from the parents, pretty cool so far but I want to also get far cry 3.

    I got a really sweet Minecraft torch that lights up and erything! lol I got Farcry 3 too and it's super awesome so far -- definitely recommended!

    I saw that and I want it even though I haven't played Minecraft yet. I feel like the more minecraft videos and merchandise I see the more I want to be part of its culture.

    Just beat Far Cry 3 last night.  I must say, the game is great in terms of gameplay and graphics, however the story kinda crapped out at the end.  At least for me.
