DID YOU ALL SEE THE TRAILER!? THIS LOOKS AMAZING. The battles are beautiful! The towns are ridiculous! And it's actually in 3D!!!! (though that hardly matters to me, lol still aesthetically pleasing!) What do you guys think? The 3 new starters look good, too~ So exitedddd are you?! |
The 3D does look very cool as long as it doesnt play clunky. The battle scenes make it look like its gunna work though. |
I didn't even know about this until reading it just now, looks like I didnt waste money on that dusty 3DS after all -.- |
I loved Ocarina in 3D, probably because of how much I love Ocarina how it originally was anyway. |
I don't know who I'm goin to pick yet. I'll totally learn all the new pokemon first then choose based on what their final forms look like |
Good point. Nothing was worse in 1st gen than realizing Bulbasaur would be the coolest form in his evolution chain. |
i liked ivysaur. but your right bulbasaur is def the most fun. solar beam was so much fun to use but was too slow |
I hope you can catch a Charmander in this one!! |

Do they still do a TV show that goes along with the games or do they each have their own separate settings and stories? ... Do they even do a TV show anymore...? |
no joke, that could be a deal breaker for me... ha, listen to me say that like Im not a total pokenerd |

Anytime you can catch starter pokemon is a great day in my book. Look at Nintendo still making rare pokemon from our childhood still seem just as rare. |
They have the show. It usually released a new season as the game is being released nowadays. They used to be drawn out longer because of less popularity and the long waits in between game releases. Now Nintendo spaces the pokemon games out so that they release something almost every year it seems. I am assuming there will be a Pokemon X and Y cartoon seen on Cartoon Network, usually Saturday mornings, when the game get's released in October. The storyline in the show usually follows the gameplay like it always have, but tweaked and with filler episodes. Ash Ketchum's journey in season 1 is essentially what a player experiences in pokemon red, blue, and yellow even if it included a bunch of obvious differences too. |

I think some of my favorite episodes (which were never featured in any of the games as far as I know) were the Orange Islands episodes where Ash would ride around on the Lapras. Pretty sure that was the first time we got to see some one battle with a Dragonite too. And speaking of, the difference between Dragonite in the Orange Islands episodes and the one from the light house episode (early in the series) is crazy. Idk if they decided to go in a different direction with Dragonite as a pkmn in general or if the light house one was some crazy rare one.... |

The Orange Islands were awesome. I thought Lapras was awesome too, one of the only pokemon ash ever legit "released" back into the wild. Also the Orange League was one of the only semi-major / major tournaments he ever won. Otherwise he always placed top16, top8 or top4. He won a bunch of minor competitions though. That big ass Dragonite was a rare one. They specify that it's a legendary pokemon of some sorts. Obviously it isn't what the games classify as a legendary but in the show it's supposed to be a very rare old Dragonite. Other times you see normal sized ones. Ash had his Snorlax fight a Dragonite in a tournament I think. And in the first pokemon movie a Dragonite delivers Mewtwo's island invetation to the group. That Dragonite was barely bigger than Brock, as was the one who faught the Snorlax. I can't believe I remember all this, I want to go watch now lol |
