Jagex, which is Europe's largest independent game studios, and the developer for the hit MMORPG RuneScape, is preparing to launch their latest game, Ace of Spades.
Ace of Spades is a first person shooter MMO that provides players with all the world building freedom of a sandbox game, but also the competitive multi-player based action of a MMOFPS. More than 500,000 users have pre-registered at www.aceofspades.com in the few weeks leading up to tomorrow's launch.
“Reaching half a million registrations in such a short period of time is incredible and a real testament to both the quality of the game we have produced and the commitment and loyalty of the Ace of Spades community,” commented Arash Amini, Producer of Ace of Spades. “The game has achieved unprecedented levels of popularity and it is great to see so many players pre-register so quickly. We are all go for tomorrow and are confident that the game will be a massive hit this Christmas.”
The game will provide a rich and compelling experience for fans of first person shooter games that are also looking for something to express their creativity. I guess we can take it as a first person shooter in Minecraft style of game. Ace of Spades will have fast paced gameplay and feature up to 32 players at once. Environments will be destructible and constructible (if that's a word). These components should allow for the game to get that unrestricted freedom and ability to plan their own battles and environment in a real time sort of way.
The game will be available starting tomorrow at www.aceofspades.com.
