Image of Diablo 3 Declaration: Free Starter Edition leaks

If you've been wanting to get your hands on the new Diablo 3 and try it out, you may be in luck. Some posters within the Diablo 3 forum site have found out that they were able to play the Diablo 3 game with out any Beta codes. Blizzard was asked for a comment but there has been no response just yet. For now, just consider the Diablo 3 Starter Edition public beta pure speculation despite the number of games that were able to actually get in and play proves that it is definitely a possible thing.

The posters mentioned that all five characters were playable, but are unsure of how the Starter Edition will be limited. It could be by level, abilities, or a many number of other things. The only distinct difference was a number of prompts encouraging them to upgrade to the full game.

Blizzard launched the World of Warcraft Starter Edition in July 2011, giving everyone unlimited time in Azeroth up to level 20. The studio then followed up with a similar StarCraft II Starter. It's a safe bet Diablo 3 Starter Edition will be similarly limited by level, not play time.
