MMOpinion | How Much Content Should An Expansion Have?
Expansions are a normal occurrence in the MMO world. Typically the hype surrounding them equals that of when the game was launched. Millions of players anxiously awaiting new content in their favorite games.
But how much content should an expansion have? It's not enough just to raise the level cap and offer a new zone with different monsters and better gear. I believe we are looking for a new experience, something a bit different than what we've already completed so far. Plus they should also offer something for everyone. Something for the hardcore raider, something for the new player, something for the middle of the roader.
How much content do you think an expansion should have? Should it have something for everyone? Should it cater to hardcore players? Does cost matter?
