During an AMA event at the end of last month Sony Online Entertainment’s John Smedley discussed a potential spiritual successor to the iconic Star Wars Galaxies and today he posted two new images on Twitter relating to the unannounced game.
At first glance it doesn’t appear to have any relation to Star Wars Galaxies in terms of setting as the image quite obviously displays a large modern era church and the only real clue Smedley gave was that it’s “not Landmark” so EverQuest is out the window. However a Community Manager on the official SOE forums confirmed that it was indeed related to the SWG comment at the AMA so we could be seeing a modern take on the new MMO features that made SWG so popular…..at first.
