Bioware's executive producer, Jeff Hickman, has written in the latest blog post for Star Wars: The Old Republic and has revealed that the MMORPG will add same-gender romance options with the upcoming expansion, Rise of the Hutt Cartel.
It`s said that at first, the same-sex romance will be limited to "some" NPCs (non-playable characters) on the new planet Makeb, and that there will be more options available in the future.
The aspect of the same-sex romance in Star Wars: The Old Republic has been taking a while to gain flight, but Hickman apologized that the feature in the game is "taking so long". Implementing the system had taken longer than expected and that the feature was put on hold while they were focusing on the changes necessary to make the game free-to-play.
The expansion, Rise of the Hutt Cartel, will increase the MMORPG's level cap to 55, adding a new planet called Makeb and features fully voiced conversations.
