It’s always exciting to write about a brand new game that’s being announced from out of the woodworks. Today that game is Outrise. Outrise is a multiplayer action game that is focused on an important element in gaming, boss fights. How that is done is with one player controlling a giant boss while the entire opposing team fights to take it down. ‘An army of Davids against a towering Goliath’ is how they so eloquently put it.
The creators vision for the game is to harken back to the 80s and 90s films like RoboCop, Terminator and Blade Runner with an immense world and bone shattering action of next-gen multiplayer games. They think of it as a multiplayer Shadow of the Colossus mets Left 4 Dead with an old school sci-fi look and feel. There is a ton of information about the characters, the story, the weapons and details about the game on their website.
The team at Outrise is composed of a group of creators with a passion in innovative gameplay experiences and engaging narratives. Several developers have worked at companies including Ubisoft, Treyarch and Adhesive Games on titles such as Hawken, Call of Duty and Assassin’s Creed 2. With Outrise they plan to craft a distinct Sci-Fi universe to tell stories in.
